We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Client Manager to join our team, responsible for leading a core group of accounting professionals in providing seamless services to clients, including accounts preparation, tax returns, and cash flow management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of direct reports, fostering a culture of excellence and growth.
- Collaborate with the Accountancy Manager to plan and monitor team performance, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of accounts and tax returns for clients, with the ability to handle these personally when required.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, utilizing various communication methods to ensure their needs are met.
- Onboard new clients effectively, ensuring a smooth transition into our portfolio, and conduct client fee reviews as needed.
- Execute year-end client meetings, assessing and advising clients on their tax position, cash flow, budgets, and pricing.
- Complete bookkeeping, VAT returns, and CIS tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Act as the primary point of liaison with external parties, including HMRC and Companies, ensuring information is up-to-date and accurate, and addressing queries proactively.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, applicants must be fully qualified (ACCA/ACA) and possess substantial experience in an accountancy practice environment, handling a caseload of clients with accounts preparation and tax returns. A strong knowledge of tax and related subject matter is essential, along with excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with internal departments and clients.
A solid understanding of Excel, Xero, QuickBooks, and other relevant accounting software is also required.
