Enforcement Team Leader Opportunity

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is delighted to be supporting a Local Authority in Derbyshire on the hire of an Enforcement Team Leader (Grade 10). This is a full-time and permanent position (37 hours per week) with hybrid working arrangements, allowing for a blend of home and office working in a stunning location.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage a small team of planning enforcement officers to ensure investigations into reported breaches of planning control are conducted in accordance with the District Councils Enforcement Customer Charter and Service Standards.
  • Action breaches of planning legislation and lead on negotiations, planning applications, and appeal work arising from such work.
  • Substantial experience and knowledge of planning legislation, planning enforcement, and case law.
  • Staff management experience.
  • Driving Licence and ability to visit sites throughout the council's area.
