Senior Administrator to Mayor

We are seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to support the Mayor of Newham. This role is responsible for providing high-level administrative support to enable the Mayor to effectively undertake their executive and civic functions.
About the Role
The successful candidate will provide diary management and executive PA support to the Mayor, as well as supporting the Head of Mayor Office in providing a high-quality office and administration function. Key responsibilities include maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders, organising meetings and events, and managing confidential information.
Key Responsibilities
- Diary management and executive PA support for the Mayor
- Supporting the Head of Mayor Office in providing a high-quality office and administration function
- Maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including the Chief Executive, Members, Corporate Directors, and Strategic Adviser
- Organising meetings and events, and making travel and accommodation arrangements as required
- Managing confidential information and handling sensitive issues
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of local government issues, including public sector management and finance, as well as experience of handling confidential information and dealing with residents in a front-facing manner.
Working Arrangements
This is a 36-hour per week role, Monday – Friday (Minimum 3 days in the office per week). The salary for this position is £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
