About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Nuclear Safety Case Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems. As a Senior Nuclear Safety Case Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of our nuclear facilities by developing and implementing safety cases and procedures. The estimated salary for this role is £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.

You will work closely with our Human Factors, Site Safety Case and Engineering Authority Teams to ensure that our nuclear facilities are designed and operated safely. You will also be involved in the development of other Nuclear Substantiation team members and will provide guidance and support to junior engineers.

Our team uses cutting-edge tools and techniques, including finite element analysis and simulation, to support our safety case. You will be responsible for managing the safety case documentation, including the preparation of safety cases and the implementation of safety recommendations.

Your skills and experiences:

  • Broad understanding of multiple engineering discipline's
  • Experience in nuclear, other high hazard, or highly regulated industry
  • Ability to produce high quality technical reports
  • Determined in driving all deliverable associated activities through due process
  • Excellent stakeholder management
