Yolk Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a leading defence organization in Europe to fill the role of Senior Export Contract Manager. This contract position offers £80 per hour via an umbrella company.

Job Overview:

The successful candidate will work within the Programmes Export Operations Directorate and report to the Export Contract Management UK Executive. They will lead complex export contracts, ensuring timely delivery and high customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with international government and military customers for contract delivery up to 1* level
  • Manage multiple cross-domain and geographically diverse contracts simultaneously
  • Deliver the contract schedule to ensure customer satisfaction and foster strong relationships
  • Anticipate and resolve contract delivery issues through risk management, protecting business interests
  • Lead customer acceptance events, transport delivery solutions, and contractual payments
  • Communicate effectively with customers, government, industrial partners, and internally
  • Negotiate contract amendments and support Sales & Business Development to acquire new international business
  • Collaborate with national companies in France, Spain, and Italy for Inter Company Trading export contracts

Requirements:

  • Leadership, influencing, and relationship management skills for internal and external relationships
  • Ability to define strategic intent and operate in complex environments
  • Experience leading contract delivery in bid and execution phases, preferably internationally
  • High self-motivation, drive, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with an open, confident leadership style
  • Experience managing people and leading stakeholder relationships
  • International travel experience, with an open mind for different cultures
  • Preparation and authorisation of Bid submissions, with exposure as Business Bid Authority
  • Experience working in large, complex organisations (preferably multinational) with Corporate Functions collaboration
