A prominent opportunity has arisen within the Programmes Export Operations Directorate at MBDA for an accomplished and experienced Export Contract Manager.

The successful candidate will report to the Export Contract Management UK Executive and demonstrate a broad and deep set of commercial, financial, and project management skills to lead and deliver complex and strategically important export contracts.

  • Lead the commercial interface into international government and military customers for contract delivery up to 1* level on behalf of MBDA.
  • Manage multiple cross-domain and geographically diverse contracts simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high customer satisfaction.
  • Deliver the contract schedule while fostering strong and long-standing relationships with international customers.
  • Anticipate and proactively resolve contract delivery issues through risk and opportunity management that protects MBDA's business interests and international reputation.
  • Lead customer acceptance events, transport delivery solutions, and capture contractual payments.
  • Maintain coherent and consistent communications with customers, government partners, industrial partners, and internal stakeholders within MBDA.
  • Negotiate contract amendments and support Sales & Business Development to acquire new international business from current and new customers.
  • Collaborate with MBDA national companies in France, Spain, and Italy to deliver Inter Company Trading export contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain strong internal and external relationships through leadership, influencing, and relationship management skills.
  • Define, communicate, and implement strategic intent with experience of operating in complex political environments.
  • Lead contract delivery in both the bid and execution phases, ideally within an international environment.
  • Motivate yourself and work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Experience in people management in a leadership role and leading internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Prepare for international travel and be open to embracing different cultures.
