About the Role

This Specialist Practitioner position is a fantastic opportunity to work in the NHS and make a real difference in the lives of patients. The role involves delivering high-quality care and support to individuals participating in the Bowel Cancer Screening programme.

As a Specialist Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing patient-centred care, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, and promoting health education to improve access to screening.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver autonomous nurse-led clinics and follow up histology assessment
  • Provide advice, education, and support to patients and healthcare professionals
  • Work collaboratively with Programme Hub and local services to promote health promotion activities
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and adhere to NMC requirements
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current UK NMC PIN and Registered Nurse Level 2 qualification
  • Ability to study at Degree or Masters Level
  • Knowledge of Lower GI Disease, including radiological, endoscopic investigations, surgical and oncological treatments
  • Patient assessment, history taking, and consent procedures skills
