The Role
We are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with IT professionals to support our COTS and in-house software, ensuring adherence to agreed service levels for smooth application operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Planning: Engage with stakeholders to create plans for applications (3rd party and in-house).
  • Configuration and Development: Build or configure applications to plan for each improvement or new technology.
  • Project Leadership: Lead application configuration and development for technology projects.
  • Software Asset Management: Maintain the software asset management register and keep configuration items up to date.
  • Continual Improvement: Collaborate with the team and customers for all continual improvement activities.
  • Deployment and Release: Deploy and release new configurations or developments in line with departmental requirements.
  • Support and Guidance: Service desk for incident and problem management, create support documentation, and provide guidance for other team members.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in SQL, C#, and/or Visual Basic
  • Experience configuring cloud API (Workato or similar)
  • Excellent Communication and People Management Skills

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience working within the ITIL 4 framework / ITIL Certified.
  • Experience working with ISO20000/ISO27001/Cyber Essentials.

Hours: Working 39 hours, Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 17:00, Friday 08:00 – 16:00
