Cancer Research Support Technician

Barts Cancer Institute at Queen Mary University London is seeking a talented Cell Sorting Specialist to join our team. As a leading research centre, we are dedicated to delivering innovative solutions that improve patient outcomes and transform lives.
About the Job:
This is a full-time, fixed-term appointment for 1 year with the possibility of extension up to 3 years. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day operation, maintenance, and quality control of cell-sorters/analysers and provide users with technical support at all levels. A collaborative approach is essential to cover duties during colleagues' absences or high-demand periods.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- BSc or equivalent in a field such as cancer cell biology or immunology
- Strong knowledge of BDFACSAria sorters and analysers, Diva software, and multicolour Flow Cytometry principles
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Benefits:
The starting salary is £39,065 - £45,622 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance. We offer a range of benefits, including access to a generous pension scheme, 30 days' leave per annum (pro-rata for part-time/fixed-term), and a season ticket loan scheme.
