Finance Officer Specialist

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to join our team as a Finance Officer Part-time. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial services to support the management of the Council budget.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor the Council's high needs dedicated schools grant position.
- Support the service team with monitoring on regeneration and infrastructure projects.
- Assist in the accounting function of the Council to meet all necessary statutory deadlines.
Requirements:
- Experienced finance professional (AAT, part qualified CCAB or relevant experience).
- Extensive practical knowledge and technical background in accounting covering all aspects of budget preparation, monitoring, year-end accounting and the application of current accounting standards.
- Good communication skills including experience of training / coaching one on one or in a group environment.
- Excellent Excel and data analysis skills.
