Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Finance Officer to support the Finance Manager in providing flexible and professional financial services to support the management of the Council budget in accordance with the Council Plan.

  • High needs finance officer: working with the SEND team and schools to monitor the Council's high needs dedicated schools grant position.
  • Place: supporting the service team with monitoring on regeneration and infrastructure projects.
  • Corporate services: supporting the accounting function of the Council to meet all necessary statutory deadlines.

The successful candidate will be part of a team that delivers a high-performing, customer-focused service, proactive, creative, and supportive of Council Services. The role requires strong technical and analytical skills, good communication skills, including experience of training/coaching one-on-one or in a group environment, excellent Excel and data analysis skills, and the ability to work flexibly to meet business needs.
