Job Overview

This Clinical Support Specialist role will provide administrative support to the Medical Secretaries, Team Secretaries, and Clerk typists at West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administration and typing skills, with experience in producing professional letters and documents. The salary for this role is estimated to be around £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.

The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE standard (minimum C Grade) and have relevant typing experience, preferably with an administration background. They must also achieve between 50-60 words per minute average typing speed.

About the Role

In this Administrative Assistant - Clerk Typist position, you will work alongside Consultants, Specialty Doctors, and Nurse Practitioners to achieve Business Unit objectives, including a 48-hour turnaround of clinical letters, forward clinic preparation, minute taking, and general office admin duties.

You will be responsible for producing high-quality documents, managing emails, and providing exceptional customer service to patients and staff. The salary for this role is approximately £22,000 - £28,000 per year, based on experience.
