Job Title: Clinical Office Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Office Assistant to join our team at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to hospital policies at all times.
  • Register patients for outpatient procedures, ensuring accurate and efficient data entry.
  • Schedule appointments, confirm details, and book follow-up tests or procedures as needed.
  • Perform reception duties, triage incoming calls, and provide administrative support.
  • Ensure filing, charting, and appointment sheets are up-to-date.
  • Sort and distribute mail, faxes, and emails.
  • Complete unit statistics, census reports, and staffing logs.
  • Stock and reorder supplies as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Medical Office Administration from an accredited institution.
  • Medical terminology certificate.
  • Intermediate skill level in MS Word, Excel, spelling, medical spelling, and medical terminology.
  • Clerical testing may be required.
  • Current work experience in a hospital setting with patient registration and booking software.
  • Epic experience preferred.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive hourly wage: $30.14-$31.37 (plus 14% in lieu).

Estimated Salary Range: $43,919 - $46,146 per annum.
