About Us
Brainkind, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of people with brain injuries in the UK, has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational therapy and experience working with individuals with brain injuries. You will provide clinical expertise to assess, implement, and evaluate programmes of person-centred care as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of service user needs and develop tailored treatment programmes
- Promote choice in all aspects of clinical practice, enhancing the service user experience and encouraging open communication
- Liaise and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and volunteers to deliver high-quality occupational therapy
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in accordance with professional standards, ensuring sensitive information remains secure
- Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues through teaching and mentoring
- Foster a safe working environment, maintaining confidentiality and undertaking additional tasks as required
Person Specification
- Diploma or BSC (Hons) in Occupational Therapy
- Current registration with Health & Care Professions Council
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development
- Expertise in OT assessments and interventions, with ability to work autonomously and manage risk efficiently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to build effective relationships
Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of £35-£40 per hour DOE, 35 days holiday including bank holidays, pension contributions, and access to our Employee Assistance Programme.
