Exciting Opportunity in Mental Health Nursing Simulation

This is a unique position within the simulation and skills team at the University of Salford, where you will play a key role in the creative design and delivery of specialist mental health nursing simulation and skills. The role reflects the growth of this area of education, and our commitment to ensuring parity of esteem of mental health nursing skills across the fields of practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance the skills, knowledge, attitudes and behaviours of mental health nursing students through simulation and skills teaching.
  • Design, develop, deliver and evaluate evidence-based teaching materials and resources across a range of modules and programmes of study, with a focus on mental health nursing.
  • Contribute to the planning, design and development of course and curriculum objectives and material, ensuring the professional, educational and clinical credibility of simulated practice components.
  • Supervise, mark and assess coursework and examinations, providing feedback to nursing students as part of a module team.
  • Fulfil the role of personal tutor and academic assessor to a group of mental health nursing students.
