About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Consultant Psychiatrist at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert clinical leadership and psychiatric input to the Acute Assessment Unit (Mulberry 1) at Fulbourn Hospital.

With a strong emphasis on community care, you will work closely with general practitioners, psychiatrists, and other hospital specialists to deliver high-quality patient-centered care. Your expertise will be invaluable in ensuring that patients receive timely interventions and intensive treatment to prevent chronicity and dependency on psychiatric services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide consultant leadership and psychiatric input to the Acute Assessment Unit
  • Work closely with general practitioners, psychiatrists, and other hospital specialists
  • Deliver timely interventions and intensive treatment to prevent chronicity and dependency on psychiatric services
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to service development

Requirements

  • Full GMC registration and licence to practice
  • MBBS or equivalent
  • Approved Clinician Status or eligible to attend training

Salary Information

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
