School Improvement Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced educator to join our team as Special Education Needs and Disabilities Leader. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to lead the development and implementation of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) policy and provision in our school.

About the School

Our school is a well-established coeducational Catholic Academy and a member of St Joseph's Multi Academy Trust. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of SEND policy and provision
  • Coordinate specific provision to support individual students with SEND
  • Provide professional guidance to colleagues
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Qualified teacher status as required under the SEND Code of Practice
  • National Award for SEN Co-ordination, or a willingness to complete it within 3 years of appointment as required under the SEND Code of Practice
  • Experience of working at a whole-school level
  • Commitment to equal opportunities and inclusion
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £63,815 - £70,293 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a generous pension scheme and opportunities for professional development.
