We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Deputy General Manager for Acute and Emergency Medicine at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

This is a key leadership position that requires a strong understanding of trust values and policies, as well as excellent leadership and management skills. You will be responsible for supporting the operational delivery of Emergency and Acute services, focusing on delivery of the A&E waiting time standards, financial performance, governance, change and business development across the directorate.

The successful candidate will be accountable for ensuring good governance and processes for monitoring delivery against all KPIs are in place. Additionally, you will play an important role overseeing development of the Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) pathway, ensuring the smooth transition of patients between primary care, ED and Ambulatory Emergency Care (AEC). As a leader, you will be responsible for driving positive change and improving patient outcomes.

We are looking for someone with a transformational mind-set, approaching challenges with an inquisitive and constructively critical perspective where innovative solutions are found to complex problems. The ideal candidate will have experience in staff management and development, and be able to work collaboratively with colleagues, Service Directors and Matrons to ensure effective delivery of the division's business plan and strategic vision.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Establishing and maintaining effective structures and systems of control for the management of staff
  • Recruitment, appraisal, continuing professional development and support of the Trust's Human Resource policies and procedures
  • Line managing Service Managers to deliver an effective and aligned service across the organisation

Salary: £100,000 - £120,000 per annum
