As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will lead your team by example and work in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team to deliver high standards of care through continuity and consistency.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing and receiving clinical supervision
  • Coordinating the multi-disciplinary teams to ensure all clinical services provided to the ward function effectively and efficiently
  • Ensuring the ward environment is clean and safe for all staff, patients, and visitors
  • Acting as the Designated Division Shift Co-ordinator and undertaking seclusion reviews as required
  • Providing vision and effective role modeling to ensure fundamental high standards of clinical care are maintained
  • Keeping up to date with current topics, policies, and innovations in clinical practice
  • Deputising for the Ward Manager in their absence or as required
