Deputy Home Manager

As a Deputy Home Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care in line with Ofsted regulations and the Children's Homes Regulations 2015.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement care plans to support the individual needs of the young person, in collaboration with healthcare professionals and external agencies.
- Oversee the management of staff, including shift patterns and ensuring the home is adequately staffed at all times.
- Lead a team of care staff, providing ongoing supervision, guidance, and development to ensure exceptional care delivery.
- Promote a therapeutic environment, using the home experience as a tool for positive social learning and personal growth for the young person.
- Foster partnerships with external providers, regulatory bodies, and families to ensure holistic care and the best outcomes for the young person.
- At least 3 years' experience in residential childcare, including some in a supervisory role.
- A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is essential, with a willingness to work towards Level 5 Leadership & Management (with our support).
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection practices, and relevant legislation (Children's Homes Regulations 2015).
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, with experience in supervision and performance management.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster relationships with external agencies, staff, and families.
