Climate Change Entrepreneurship

We are seeking a highly motivated Climate Change Entrepreneur to join our team at Deep Science Ventures. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside our experienced founders and advisors to develop innovative solutions to the climate crisis.

About the Challenge

There is an urgent need to remove and store billions of tons of CO2 from our atmosphere. With over 100 direct air carbon capture companies entering the market, there has been a strong focus on CO2 capture technology. However, we need to simultaneously build the post-capture CO2 storage supply chain to reach climate goals.

Your Key Responsibilities

You will lead the development of a business plan to deploy our CO2 storage technology globally. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of the post-capture CO2 storage supply chain;
  • Designing a proprietary toolset to optimize CO2 storage deployment;
  • Collaborating with our team to refine the business model and identify key market opportunities;
  • Building relationships with government, regulatory, and research institutions to drive innovation.

The ideal candidate will have experience in leadership roles, fundraising, corporate governance, and board reporting. They will also have strong relationships with relevant institutions and a broad knowledge of the energy transition and climate-tech sectors.

About You

We offer a competitive salary of £55,000 - £75,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as access to optimised tools, resources, and processes to help create high-impact ventures. You will also receive up to £250k in investment to incorporate the new venture and develop early proof-of-concept data. Majority equity stake in the new company is guaranteed, along with continuous post-spinout support.
