About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Psychology to join our team at Jupiter Recruitment.

As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of psychological services, working closely with our multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, with the ability to manage clinical projects and provide consultancy to colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To lead the psychology department and ensure the highest standards of professional practice
  • To work collaboratively with hospital directors, medical directors, and other senior stakeholders to develop and implement effective strategies for patient care
  • To provide psychological assessment and interventions for patients with learning disabilities
  • To support the development of individual formulations and contribute to multi-professional teams
  • To have effective consultancy skills and be able to manage clinical/organizational projects
  • To have competence in line management responsibilities and service-related standards including clinical governance
  • To be a confident leader who is keen to help develop others
  • To understand the dynamics of working in both hospital and other healthcare environments
  • To be able to help offer containment and support to those who need it within a culture of compassion
