Production Engineer for Advanced Materials

We are looking for a Production Engineer for Advanced Materials to join our team at Rolls-Royce in Derby, UK. As a Degree Apprentice in Materials Engineering, you will work closely with world-class engineers to develop advanced manufacturing processes and turn designs into reality.

The successful candidate will be responsible for helping our suppliers deliver products and materials within specification, statistically analysing and modelling material properties, conducting forensic failure investigations, mapping out technical processes, and testing materials to understand their properties.

You will receive a competitive salary of £27,000 per annum, plus benefits, including training and development opportunities across four years. You will also have the chance to work on a variety of laboratory equipment, from initial microscopic component preparation through to scanning electron microscopes.

To succeed in this role, you will need IT skills, attention to detail, organisational skills, problem-solving skills, administrative skills, numerical skills, analytical skills, logical thinking, team-working skills, creativity, initiative, non-judgemental attitude, and patience.
