Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to work with world-class scientists and engineers at Rolls-Royce as a Materials Engineering Degree Apprentice. You will be responsible for ensuring the materials used by the company are innovative, safe, and meet high standards.

About the Role

You will join our central Engineering, Technology & Safety function, supporting all divisions, and work on developing your knowledge of different materials and their uses. Your tasks may include failure investigation studies, research and development, process control, manufacturing support, supplier management, and laboratory-related improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing knowledge of materials and their uses
  • Conducting failure investigation studies
  • Supporting research and development projects
  • Managing suppliers and improving processes
Requirements
  • Five GCSEs including Maths and Physics at grade B/6, English Language at Grade B/5, and two other subjects at grade 4/C
  • Three A-levels at BBC, including Maths and Chemistry at grade C or above, plus one other subject excluding General Studies
  • A Level 3 Extended BTEC Diploma in an Engineering-related subject at DDM
  • Open-minded, curious, collaborative, and creative approach to problem-solving
