Job Title: Furniture Relocation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Furniture Relocation Specialist to join our team at Johnsons 1871. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient relocation of furniture and equipment to new premises or via storage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete all removals, relocations, and installations for furniture moves, IT relocations, lab equipment or fine art.
  • Follow delivery plans from JLL Ops Manager, Assistant Ops Manager and Supervisors.
  • Maintain warehouse making sure it is tidy and in order.
  • Fulfill recycling requirements by filling skips (wood/metal and general).
  • Lead large specialist projects such as moving hospital, library, or school equipment.
  • Complete all JLL training as necessary.
  • Follow health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Safely package items before removal or storage.
  • Wrap & protect furniture or delicate items into special wrappings and packing cases for shipping/transport.
  • Taking apart larger items of furniture for packing and removal.
  • Removing doors, door frames or windows to get large pieces of furniture in or out of a building.
  • Packing items, loading them into your vehicle and securing them safely.
  • Checking that all goods are secure before driving off.
  • Driving to the new location, unloading the items, reassembling large items and placing them where the customer wants them.
  • Unwrapping furniture and unpacking cartons.
  • Packing Cold Chain Materials.

Requirements:

  • Moves between longer distances could involve overnight stays.
  • Driving Licence holders preferred.
  • Willingsness to travel.

Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Working Hours: Flexible working, working as and when required.
