Equipment Mover and Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Furniture Installation and Removal Expert at Johnsons 1871.

In this role, you will be responsible for the installation and removal of laboratory and IT equipment, furniture, and other items to new premises or via storage. You will work in small through to large teams, which may include evenings as necessary to provide an amazing service to our clients based across the UK and Europe. If you hold a valid passport, you can have the opportunity to work across Europe.

This is a zero-hour contract role, meaning you will work on a flexible schedule as needed. Your duties will include:

  • Complete all removals, relocations, and installations for furniture moves, IT relocations, lab equipment, or fine art.
  • Follow delivery plans from JLL Ops Manager, Assistant Ops Manager, and Supervisors.
  • Maintain warehouse making sure it is tidy and in order.
  • Filling recycling skips (wood/metal and general).

Additional responsibilities will include working on large specialist projects such as moving hospital, library, or school equipment. You will also need to complete all JLL training as necessary, follow health and safety policies and procedures, safely package items before removal or storage, wrap and protect furniture or delicate items into special wrappings and packing cases for shipping/transport, taking apart larger items of furniture for packing and removal, removing doors, door frames, or windows to get large pieces of furniture in or out of a building, packing items, loading them into your vehicle, and securing them safely.

The estimated salary for this role is £35,000 - £45,000 per year, depending on experience. Working hours are flexible, with the requirement to work as and when required.
