Community Safety Specialist

Rotherwood is seeking a dedicated and proactive Community Safety Officer to join our dynamic team in Burnley. As a key member of our community safety service, you will play a vital role in reducing anti-social behavior, hate crime, and domestic abuse in local neighborhoods.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement a harm-centered approach to community safety, working closely with colleagues and partners to manage reports and ensure positive outcomes for residents and communities.
- Conduct thorough investigations, gather evidence, take statements, and prepare case files for legal proceedings.
- Utilize various tools and interventions to prevent and address anti-social behavior, domestic abuse, and hate crime.
- Collaborate with key partners to develop innovative solutions to community safety challenges.
- Complete risk assessments, action plans, and safeguarding referrals.
- A strong passion for delivering exceptional service and helping customers improve their lives.
- A flexible and innovative approach to community safety.
- Knowledge of housing legislation and legal processes related to social housing.
- Experience in early intervention strategies to resolve community safety issues.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel) and meticulous record-keeping.
- Full Driving Licence.
- Recognised qualification in Community Safety, ASB and Nuisance Management.
- Experience of working in Social Housing.
- ASB case management as well as a good working knowledge of ASB legislation and the tools used to tackle ASB in a social housing setting.
