Community Safety Officer

Rotherwood is seeking a dedicated and proactive Community Safety Officer to join our dynamic team in Burnley. As a key member of our community safety service, you will play a vital role in reducing anti-social behaviour, hate crime, and domestic abuse in local neighbourhoods.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Implement a harm-centered approach to community safety, working closely with colleagues and partners to manage reports and ensure positive outcomes for residents and communities.
  2. Conduct thorough investigations, gather evidence, take statements, and prepare case files for legal proceedings.
  3. Utilise various tools and interventions to prevent and address anti-social behaviour, domestic abuse, and hate crime.
  4. Collaborate with key partners to develop innovative solutions to community safety challenges.
  5. Complete risk assessments, action plans, and safeguarding referrals.
Requirements:
  1. A strong passion for delivering exceptional service and helping customers improve their lives.
  2. A flexible and innovative approach to community safety.
  3. Knowledge of housing legislation and legal processes related to social housing.
  4. Experience in early intervention strategies to resolve community safety issues.
  5. Proficiency in MS Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel) and meticulous record-keeping.
Qualifications:
  1. Full Driving Licence.
Desirable Qualifications:
  1. Recognised qualification in Community Safety, ASB and Nuisance Management.
Experience:
  1. Experience of working in Social Housing.
  2. ASB case management as well as a good working knowledge of ASB legislation and the tools used to tackle ASB in a social housing setting.
