The Podiatry Service at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Podiatrist to join our team. As a Specialist Podiatrist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, including the management of high-risk patients with multiple clinical pathologies. You will work autonomously, delivering specialist interventions such as nail surgery, wound care, vascular assessment, and biomechanics.

The successful candidate will have significant and extensive experience working at Band 5 Podiatrist level and will be able to work across all localities for the Podiatry Service. You will be expected to work evening clinics and Saturday morning clinics when required.

The Podiatry Service provides a range of clinical services within the community, hospitals, domiciliary, residential, and nursing home settings for at-risk patient caseloads, including diabetics, peripheral vascular disease patients, and connective tissue disorder patients.

Main Duties:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care, including the management of high-risk patients with multiple clinical pathologies.
  • Work autonomously, delivering specialist interventions such as nail surgery, wound care, vascular assessment, and biomechanics.
  • Work across all localities for the Podiatry Service.
  • Attend evening clinics and Saturday morning clinics when required.

Requirements:

  • Significant and extensive experience working at Band 5 Podiatrist level.
  • Ability to work autonomously and deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
