We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at an independent specialist school in Barking. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and educational support to students with Autism and SEMH needs, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant will include leading small group interventions to enhance students' academic and personal development, maintaining a calm and structured classroom environment, and building effective relationships with students, staff, and parents. You will also be responsible for communicating effectively with colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of education and care services.

Essential Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have a strong passion for working with students with Autism and SEMH needs, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build effective relationships with students, staff, and parents. A high level of patience, understanding, and empathy is essential. Experience working in a similar setting would be beneficial, but not necessary. This is a temporary position, so flexibility and adaptability are highly valued.
