The Role:

We are seeking an exceptional Group Head Pastry Chef to lead the pastry operations for a renowned restaurant group in the UK. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the pastry departments across three restaurants in London, ensuring exceptional quality and consistency in all aspects of pastry production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement pastry menus that align with the company's culinary vision and standards
  • Lead and manage a team of pastry chefs, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent performance and productivity
  • Collaborate with the culinary director and corporate chef to drive menu innovation and quality improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Monitor and control pastry production costs, maintaining profitability and efficiency

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a senior pastry chef or group pastry operations manager in a high-end restaurant environment
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, with the ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment
