Job Title: Group Head Pastry Chef

About the Role:

We are seeking an exceptional Group Head Pastry Chef to lead the pastry operations for a renowned restaurant group in London. In this role, you will oversee multiple high-end establishments, ensuring the consistent quality and excellence of all pastry products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with Executive Chefs to ensure seamless pastry production
  • Develop and implement seasonal menu changes in collaboration with Executive Chefs
  • Train and educate front of house staff on pastry knowledge
  • Ensure food quality and presentation meet company standards
  • Implement solutions to improve operations, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience
  • Provide outstanding service during special events and day-to-day operations
  • Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and safety standards
  • Conduct regular inventory and ensure proper stock levels
  • Minimise waste and manage food and labor costs efficiently
  • Lead, train, and guide the pastry team
  • Address guest complaints and ensure satisfaction
  • Assist with menu development and pricing as required

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of Pastry experience
  • Able to work long and flexible hours
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and work independently or as part of a team
  • High standard of personal hygiene and professionalism
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
