Service Description

We are seeking an exceptional Infant Psychotherapy Service Leader to lead our Parent-Infant Mental Health Service (PIMHS) in Brent. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality services, working closely with the Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on the Start4Life Programme, providing support to infants and their parents/carers in the first two years postpartum. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, overseeing the systematic provision of parent-infant psychotherapy services across all sectors of care.

Main Objectives

  • To provide high-quality parent-infant psychotherapy services, ensuring positive outcomes for clients.
  • To collaborate with the Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist in developing and implementing training programs for staff and external partners.
  • To contribute to the development of policies and procedures, promoting best practices in infant mental health services.
  • To engage with local communities, raising awareness about the importance of parent-infant mental health and promoting access to services.
  • To ensure effective clinical governance, supervising parent-infant psychotherapists and promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
