Job Description

A Senior HR Advisor is needed to assist with HR policies, maintain records, and improve business performance at a family bakery and market leader in the food and retail sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Policy Management: Assist with communicating, training, and ensuring compliance of all Human Resource policies and procedures.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain HR records and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations within the food production industry.
  • Business Performance: Help to continually improve the overall business performance and ensure teams are future ready.
  • Culture and Engagement: Work closely with the HR Manager and Leadership team to define, deliver, and measure culture and engagement initiatives across the business.
  • Recruitment Management: Manage the recruitment process, from developing job descriptions to facilitating interviews.
  • Training and Development: Organise and deliver HR-related training programs.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
  • Performance Management: Support the development of performance management systems.
Requirements
  • Background in HR: You will have a strong background in HR as an HR Advisor or Officer.
  • Employment Legislation: Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • IT Skills: Strong IT skills in HRIS and Office packages (particularly Word, SharePoint, Excel).
  • Employee Engagement: A proactive approach to employee engagement and staff development.
  • Project Planning: Proven ability to plan and implement projects/initiatives.
  • Analytical Skills: Analytical skills: quickly evaluates data/situations and reaches conclusions.

The estimated salary for this position is £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
