Jeld-Wen is a leading global designer, manufacturer and distributor of high-performance interior and exterior doors, windows, and related building products. We are currently seeking an experienced Strategic HR Business Partner to join our team in Penrith.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity will see you work closely with our site management and employees to ensure alignment with global/European business objectives. As a trusted advisor and coach, you will be responsible for executing people initiatives, providing exceptional internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.

You will partner with key stakeholders to develop HR solutions to people-related business challenges, leveraging other partners in HR as needed. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring service delivery of fundamental HR processes, supported by metrics, reports, and dashboards.

The successful candidate will have 3 days a week in Penrith and 2 days on-site at EHQ. Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with assigned business units to ensure a deep understanding of business strategy and implementing high-quality HR practices
  • Acting as a trusted advisor and coach to Managers, developing HR solutions to people-related business challenges
  • Ensuring service delivery of fundamental HR processes, supported by metrics, reports, and dashboards
  • Participating in site GEMBA walks to build relationships with those on the shop floor and create value within the organisation
  • Delivering key HR initiatives, including workforce planning, trade union negotiations, absence management, talent acquisition, benefits, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion plans, and performance management
  • Providing accurate people data with appropriate analysis and recommendations to internal stakeholders
  • Maintaining in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance
About You

We are looking for someone with broad and progressive experience in human resources, ideally in manufacturing and consulting unions or works councils. Experience in HR site/multi-site leadership and partnering with managers to handle complex issues across multi-site and multi-function is also essential.

You should have a broad understanding of technical and functional components of Human Resources, including employment law, employee relations, compliance management in a large organisation, compensation, employee relations, recruitment, talent management, absence management, organisational planning, leadership development, coaching, training, engagement, and building trust.

What We Offer

As a Strategic HR Business Partner, you can expect a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. Our company offers a range of benefits, including medical and dental insurance, a retirement program, and opportunities for career growth and professional development.
