Job Summary

The London Borough of Newham is seeking a highly skilled Museum Curator to manage its object collections and develop a compelling way of presenting them to the public.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the object collections, developing a coherent and ambitious way of presenting them, and working closely with the Project Manager and Archivist.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategy for managing and presenting the object collections
  • Work closely with the Project Manager and Archivist to achieve project goals
  • Develop and deliver engaging exhibitions and programs
  • Collaborate with community groups and cultural stakeholders to improve engagement with the collections

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in museum management, excellent communication and project management skills, and the ability to work comfortably with a variety of people.
