Payroll Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our IT support team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient running of payroll and payroll systems for two companies.
Main Responsibilities
- Oversee fortnightly payrolls across the Group in accordance with operating procedures and deadlines.
- Manage and oversee the maintenance and monitoring of time and attendance systems.
- Ensure starters and leavers are processed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Fortnightly & monthly nominal link and dept coding from Sage 50 Payroll to Sage 200.
- Reconcile CIS payments, payroll accruals, and HMRC reconciliations.
- Process payments and statutory/voluntary deductions in accordance with internal authorization procedures.
- Be responsible for accurate and complete year-end processes and submissions.
Requirements
- Proactive, strong organisational skills and sound analytical/problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of operating payroll systems (Experience of Sage Payroll would be advantageous).
- Excellent information technology skills, including excel spreadsheets and other Microsoft applications.
- Due to the nature of the reconciliation work and dealing with financial auditors, accounting knowledge/experience is required.
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including opportunities for professional development and a supportive team environment.
