The Deputy Outpatients Manager (Operations) will play a key role in driving the effective and efficient running of the Outpatients department. This will involve working closely with the Deputy Outpatients Manager (Services) and the Outpatients Service Manager to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient experience.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the escalation point for on-the-day concerns and provide support to the Outpatients Service Manager in managing the teams within outpatients.
- Assist in the management of referrals, reception, pathways, medical secretaries, and referrals out, including line management, streamlining processes, and developing relationships with third parties.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Work collaboratively with all teams across Outpatients to develop a good understanding of their duties and roles and consider the impact of decisions and events across all teams.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritise and organise workload, exercise initiative, and independent judgement.
- High level of confidentiality and diplomacy at all times.
