Behaviour Mentor Position

Qualiteach Ltd is seeking an experienced Behaviour Mentor to join our team at a secondary academy in Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting students with challenging behaviour, helping them to re-integrate into the classroom.

This role requires a high level of skill and expertise in behaviour management, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The salary for this position is £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role:

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure students receive the best possible care. This will involve developing and implementing strategies to help students re-integrate into the classroom and mainstream lessons.

  • Work one-on-one and in small groups with students, providing individualised support and guidance
  • Support students with challenging behaviour, using de-escalation techniques to help them manage their emotions and stay on track
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to help students re-integrate into the classroom and mainstream lessons
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure students receive the best possible care
Requirements:
  • Experience working in secondary schools or academies
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management principles and practices
  • Familiarity with de-escalation techniques and ability to use them effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Right to work in the UK and enhanced DBS certificate
