We are seeking an experienced Travel Consultant to join our team in a key role that involves building and maintaining relationships with customers, identifying and meeting their needs, and promoting offers through social media to generate customer engagement and sales leads.

The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in promotional events and activities to increase exposure of the branch, achieving individual and team sales targets, and assisting with the day-to-day operation of the branch.

Additionally, the Travel Consultant will be expected to effectively perform administrative duties and follow processes accurately, and be willing to participate and deliver training appropriate to their own development.

Competencies

We are looking for a candidate with the ability to work towards individual Travel Consultant targets and team sales targets, excellent communication skills and customer service experience, good accuracy and numerical skills, enthusiasm and a positive attitude with a commitment to contribute to the growth of the business, and competent IT skills.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience as a Travel Consultant, a proven sales record, and a passion for travel and tourism. They will also have excellent travel product knowledge with a good working knowledge of tour operator systems, good sales and presentation skills, customer focus, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work as part of a team.

A recognised travel qualification is desirable, but not essential. If you don't have 1 year's experience of working in a travel agency, please check out our New to Travel Programme, which is a fantastic way to join Hays Travel as an employee who trains to become a Travel Consultant.
