Job Title: Experienced Teaching Assistant for SEN Pupil

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Garstang/South Lancaster area

We are seeking an experienced, Level 2, 1-2-1, Teaching Assistant to provide support to a little boy with Autism in Year 1 at a lovely village Primary School.

This new TA2 role is a full-time position covering 5 days per week, from 08:45-15:30.

The ideal candidate must have a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) and experience of working 1-2-1 with an SEN pupil.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring targets for future progress
  • Establishing and developing strong relationships with pupils, parents, colleagues, and carers
  • Have a clear understanding of all the needs of all pupils
  • Monitoring pupils progress in reference to the school's practice
  • Excellent behaviour management skills
