About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Support Assistant to join our team in Preston. As a Support Assistant, you will work closely with Class Teachers and other staff members to provide additional support to pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a team to deliver small group and 1:1/2:1 intervention sessions to targeted pupils
  • Collaborate with Class Teachers to develop and implement effective strategies for supporting pupils with SEMH needs
  • Liaise directly with other staff members, including Senior Leadership, Pastoral Team, and fellow Teaching Assistants
Requirements
  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role with SEMH experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues
  • Strong behaviour management and classroom management skills

This is a temporary position, but there may be opportunities for permanent employment in the future. We offer competitive pay rates, which include statutory holiday pay.
