About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional SEN Team Leader to join our special school and coordinate their respite centre. As a seasoned SEN Practitioner, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Short Breaks program, ensuring safe, compliant, and enriching care experiences for children and young people with SEND.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, overseeing safeguarding and administrative staff
  • Develop and implement a Strategic Development Plan for the Short Breaks service, including budget management and staff performance
  • Manage the recruitment, training, and performance of staff to ensure high-quality care and service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted registration and other relevant regulations
  • Build and nurture relationships with families, schools, and external agencies

About You
  • Have experience managing services for children and young people with SEND, with at least a Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, Childcare, or a related field
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and management skills in a care or educational setting
  • Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
