Special Educational Needs Support Assistant

About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to work with a child with additional needs as a Teaching Assistant in a school in Swindon. The successful candidate will provide support to the child on a 1:1 basis and work alongside the class teacher to ensure the child's learning needs are met.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a child with additional needs
- Work alongside the class teacher to support the child's learning
- Manage the behaviour of pupils in the classroom
- De-escalate situations in the classroom and ensure safeguarding procedures are followed
- Report any safeguarding concerns to the school's referral procedures
Requirements:
- A passion for working with children and making a difference in their lives
- A calm and reassuring nature
- A positive attitude and flexible approach to work
- Ability to work with children with additional needs
