We are seeking a Nature Conservation Specialist to lead high-profile ecological and rewilding projects across the UK and beyond. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering efficient and scalable nature-based solutions that benefit both people and the planet.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Ecologist to join our pioneering company in rewilding science and policy. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing day-to-day project activities, ensuring timely delivery and meeting project objectives.
  • Delivering a diverse range of projects, including ecological mitigation, habitat creation, and nature recovery work.
  • Providing regular project updates to stakeholders on strategy, adjustments, and progress.
  • Implementing and managing changes to meet project outputs.
  • Determining and defining project scope and objectives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Ecology or a related subject.
  • CIEEM Membership.
  • A full UK driving license and use of your own vehicle.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in ecology or rewilding projects.
  • Extensive experience of UKHab surveys.
  • Ecological tendering.
  • Bird survey (breeding and wintering).
  • At least 1 Protected Species license.
  • Production of EcIA and HRA reports.
  • Mitigation license compilation.
  • Competent use of GIS mapping.
  • Delivery of Biodiversity Net Gain and use of the UK habitat classification system.
