We are looking for a highly experienced Nature Conservation Specialist to join our team as Principal Ecologist. With over 30 years of experience in rewilding science and policy, we have developed unique expertise in delivering high-profile ecological and rewilding projects. From surveying flagship rewilding projects to drafting environmental improvement plans, your skills and knowledge will be pushed to accelerate nature recovery in the UK and beyond.

As a Nature Conservation Specialist, you will play a key role in leading high-profile ecological and rewilding projects. Key responsibilities include managing all aspects such as scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, resources, and commercials. Additionally, you will provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders, implement and manage change when necessary, and develop and manage detailed project schedules and work plans.

To succeed in this role, you must have a degree in Ecology or a related subject, CIEEM membership, full UK driving license, use of own vehicle, minimum of 5 years in ecology or rewilding projects, extensive experience of UKHab surveys, ecological tendering, bird survey (breeding and wintering), at least 1 Protected Species license, production of EcIA and HRA reports, mitigation license compilation, competent use of GIS mapping, and delivery of Biodiversity Net Gain and use of the UK habitat classification system.

A competitive salary of £62,000 - £72,000 per year is offered based on experience.
