Job Description

The Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as an Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist.

About the Role:

  • This position involves working within the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the effective assessment, formulation, planning, and monitoring of recovery-focused rehabilitation care directed to service users.
  • You will be responsible for providing high-quality care to individuals with mental health issues, promoting independence, autonomy, and hope for the future while in recovery from a mental health illness.
  • As a member of the team, you will work closely with nursing staff, occupational therapists, psychology, medical staff, and physicians associate to provide comprehensive care to our patients.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must hold a Mental Health professional qualification (RMN)
  • Documented evidence of continuing professional development (CPD)
  • Expert knowledge on mental health issues and how these impact on the individual, carer's, and the wider community
  • Expertise in current best practice in Adult Mental Health, and awareness of relevant government directives and legislation
