About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Alstom UK&I. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and support to ensure the delivery of projects and maintenance activities while maintaining and improving EHS standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance on EHS matters and offer support to the team to ensure successful project delivery and EHS excellence.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of EHS policies and procedures, ensuring effective communication and understanding across the site/project.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and monitor progress against EHS objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with UK regulatory and industry EHS requirements, communicating changes and updates to the team.
  • Develop and implement strategies to manage and improve EHS processes, aligning with ALSTOM UK and Corporate requirements.
About You

We value passion and attitude over experience, so we don't expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we're looking for individuals with the following qualifications and experience:

  • NEBOSH Diploma (or working towards) / NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate
  • IEMA Certificate or equivalent
  • Internal Quality Auditor
  • Good knowledge of Construction and CDM Regulations
  • Experience of working with ISO14001, ISO45001
  • Working knowledge of Railway specific standards
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
