Job Title: Facilities Assistant Manager

We are seeking a highly organized and skilled Facilities Assistant Manager to join our team at Aspire People Ltd in Huntington, Cambridgeshire.

Annual Salary: £26,500

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the school and nursery sites, ensuring they are secure, well-maintained, and compliant with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Unlocking the school and nursery buildings and car park by 7am and securing them after hours, including the intruder alarms, windows, external gates, and doors.
  2. Carrying out daily visual inspections of the school site to identify any potential hazards or issues.
  3. Managing school consumables, including refilling or replacing light fittings, hand soap dispensers, hand towel dispensers, and toilet rolls.
  4. Ensuring the site is clean and tidy, including emptying external site bins and litter picking.
  5. Maintenance of the site, including water hygiene checks, boiler checks, sprinkler system maintenance, fire and alarm system checks, routine equipment checks, and meter readings.
  6. Repair of school fittings and fixtures where possible, moving furniture and school equipment as required.
  7. Portering of school deliveries, furnishings, and other equipment as needed.
  8. Liaising with external contractors and supervising their work when required.
  9. Attending emergency call-outs and serving as a designated key holder in case of alarms outside regular hours.
