About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Deputy Home Manager to join our team at SGS Care Ltd. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children and young people with complex care needs, providing high-quality, person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide leadership and support to the care team, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.
  • To work closely with colleagues to develop and implement effective care plans that meet the individual needs of service users.
  • To contribute to the development of the home's policies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with best practice and regulatory requirements.
  • To participate in on-call duties and provide 24-hour cover as required.
  • To maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g., social work, nursing) or equivalent experience in residential childcare.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a children's residential setting.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks accordingly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, service users, and their families.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures, including DBS checks and reference verification.
